Laura and Miguel are Soul Mates. Their sweetness astounds and the story on how they met and formed a relationship just proves that they are meant to be, without a doubt.
Laura and Miguel met through a mutual friend in 2002. Not too long after they met Miguel was deployed to Saudi Arabia. A year later they crossed paths again and attempted to get together on multiple occasions, each time something got in the way and they had to cancel their various plans. Soon after Miguel was again deployed. While Miguel was away in Pakistan they kept in touch through sweet letters Laura would send. As chance would have it when Miguel got back into the states he moved just down the street from Laura, fate? I think so. Their friendship grew as they became best friends, all the while they were slowly falling in love with one another. Finally they realized their friendship was meant to be much more and now, they are husband and wife.
Their wedding was at a lovely park in Fillmore in an outdoor amphitheater and their reception at a wonderful old inn in Santa Paula, The Glenn Tavern Inn. The spirit of the affair was laid back and joyous, exactly like Laura and Miguel themselves. A great couple, great friends, and some great cheesecake to boot! Oh yeah, and I totally got a name card and table at their wedding, it was just the sweetest thing! Another example of how thoughtful they both are.
I can’t wait to continue to see their family grow and keep getting to know them better :)
