This past weekend I got to spend some time with some awesome photo ladies workin on a Trash (Rock) the Dress Session in Ventura County California. We had a blast working with the super hot Nissa and Chris!

I have been so blessed to have a mother that is the most caring, loving, patient, and just all around sweetest woman I have ever met in my life. She is my mama and my best friend. She is always there to listen and give sound advice. I think she has a positive influence on every person she meets and we are all a little better for just knowing her. Today is her birthday and I wish I could be in Arizona to celebrate with her today.
If I had a glass of sparkling cider I would toast her, this blog post will have to do.

I am so sorry I haven’t updated in what seems like forever. I am working on some blog articles and also some exciting collaborations on the horizon. So be on the look out!

You might remember Nalani and Bryan from about 2 posts down, they had a rockin engagement session shot in Ventura. Well this morning I was pleasantly surprised with an e-mail from them and I thought it was so sweet/cool I had to share.
I do what I do so that people can get fun, creative, funky, and beautiful photographs for their weddings, engagements, or just because. I do it because photography is my passion. I do it because of people like Nalani and Bryan who were so fun to work with and get as excited as I do about rad photos.
I do it for all you guys!
So while you may be sending me a thank you (which I truly appreciate), I thank you as well for letting me share my passion and talent for photography with you and letting me be able to do what I love. Working with you all and having you not only be my “brides” or “clients” but also becoming my friends is what makes this job awesome!

Lori Anderson - I never understood the “trash the dress” concept, but with models like these I’m looking forward to your results. I like the color tone of your photos… very warm.
