There are a lot of reasons we love Lisa and Bobby. A few of which are 1) they are totally in love with each other and are freaking adorable. But! They are not only cute, adorable, and sweet to each other, they tease each other in a funny and light-hearted way, and we totally relate to that 2) You know what it is like going out to dinner with two awesome friends you haven’t seen in a long time? Shooting with Lisa and Bobby was pretty much just like that (even though we had only met them once before), and we always love it when that happens. 3) They may have also brought us treats before we started the shoot… and what red blooded American could resist a tasty treat!?!?!? Certainly not these two photographers, my friends. Not even a little.

Malibou Lake Mountain Club wedding…! Hayley and Ricardo…! Awesomeness…! Radtastical…! ::head asplode::

Seriously, it seems like every time we sit here writing about our couples on our blog we have the same conversation:

Joe: Oh man… Hayley and Ricardo. Hayley… and… Ricardoooooo…
Marianne: Hayley and Ricardo are so sweet! Just write about how awesome they are!
Joe: I know that Hayley and Ricardo are sweet and awesome and their wedding was gorgeous! But we have written about how awesome each of our last couples were and people might think that we just say that about everyone all willy-nilly.

Then it hits us like a flaming golden hawk and we are overwhelmed with how blessed we feel because so many of our couples ARE! SO! AWESOME! Hayley and Ricardo are no exception. Hayley’s smile could light up a room and she wears it often. Ricardo is a genuinely nice person down to his core. Together they are just a beautiful couple inside and out. Do we even need to say anything about how gorgeous their Malibou Lake Mountain Club wedding was? Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! It was such a great day and we were thrilled to be a part of it!

You got a brief glimpse into Lynn and Charles’ personalities in their engagement session post. But, NOW you get to see what we meant when we said that it was a big deal to say that they love each other more than they even love surfing. These two love surfing so much that they stayed at the Crowne Plaza hotel on C Street (a very popular Ventura surf spot) for a few days before their wedding so they could spend some time surfing and hanging out at the beach. Lynn got ready in a bikini top because they had been out surfing on the morning of their wedding! I guess when a great swell comes in, you’ve just gotta do what you’ve gotta do. :) Thankfully, they were willing to get out of the water for long enough to share their beautiful wedding day with us at Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo.

Lynn and Charles are the sweetest and most down to earth couple ever! They love photography, creating, surfing, and most of all they love each other (which is a pretty huge statement because they REALLY love surfing. :) ). They also have one of the cutest proposal stories ever! Charles and Lynn love photography and like to go out shooting together at night doing long exposures and light painting. One night Charles set up a long exposure shot and wrote something in the frame with a light. When the photo popped up on the back of the camera it read “Marry Me?” Charles proposed with light! What?!?!?! Too cool. Maybe we are overly enthusiastic about the idea as fellow photographers… ::Thinking::… Nope! We are officially declaring it; that idea as objectively awesome! :)

Anywho, Lynn and Charles also love surfing together and nature. So it was natural for us to hike around the hills of Malibu and then wander around the beach with their awesome surfboards.

We have also already shot their fantastic Maravilla Gardens wedding and will be sharing it very soon!
