You may have noticed a flurry of new posts from us here at MWP (Which we pronounce as “Moop.” Now that you know that super piece of MWP trivia, your life has been enriched. You’re welcome). As we are winding down from the 2012 season and preparing for our 2013 wedding season we have been slapped with the realization that we had SO many weddings and engagements that we want to share with everyone! Since we get the opportunity to work with many, many, many awesome couples every year and we are always trying to get them their wedding photos as quickly as possible, we often don’t get a chance to post all of our work for everyone else to see. So one of our 2013 goals is to post more whenever we have a chance and we have a chance right now!!! So, hold on to your hats interwebs. Lots more posts are coming in the next couple weeks!

With that said, we are super-stoked to be sharing Maura and Jeff’s gorgeous 2011 San Diego private estate wedding with you today. These two super heroes of stylishness rented a gorgeous home on the beach for their small wedding and it turned out beautifully! This wedding had everything: laughter, love, an amadowergirl (You know. It’s that thing when you have an amazingly adorable flower girl). It was awesome. :)

Rincon Beach Club in Santa Barbara was such a great venue for Aimee and Derek’s beach wedding! To quote Aimee: “Derek and I are both very casual, laid-back people who love the beach and everything about Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. I feel that Rincon Beach Club is different and more casual than a traditional wedding at a country club or hotel ballroom. The decor I’m planning on having will be more rustic/beach chic to help add to the casual intimate wedding I envision.” Nailed it! :)

Sacred Sands in Joshua Tree has to be the winner of our most unique venue choice of the year award. As you will see in the photos below, Sacred Sands is out in the middle of the desert. Like, really out in the middle of the desert. True story: as we were parking the car Joe said “Wow! This place is really off the beaten path! I wonder if we will see any snakes or anything.” Not 15 seconds later we saw a snake making its way around the property fence! Don’t let that story give you the wrong impression though. Sacred Sands and Joshua Tree are absolutely gorgeous! It was especially perfect for Lindsey and Dave. They are a sweet, kind of reserved, creative, outdoorsy, adventure loving type of couple. So, a small, intimate, Joshua Tree wedding was the perfect choice for Lindsey and Dave’s wedding celebration. They also had the awesome idea of having their guests write wishes for them as a couple and attach them to a wish tree. At the end of the night they tossed the wishes into a fire and the resulting fire and smoke was a really cool and passionate metaphor for the wishes being released out into the world to take action. What a fun idea!
