If you know us you know that we LOVE to travel. We love road trips, finding new places to eat, people watching and all that good stuff that comes along with having a destination that’s a good ways away. Not surprisingly, we were SUPER excited when Katie and Blake decided to have us come to San Francisco for their engagement session. Katie and Blake are getting married tomorrow at the gorgeous Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo but they both live, and met each other up in San Francisco. We had a little bit of a close call since it was raining off and on the entire trip up there. True fact: Notwithstanding the weather report that said it was supposed to be clear, it was raining like crazy SO close to the beginning of the session that Joe had to MacGuyver some waterproof camera cases in the back seat of our Kia using nothing but Zip Lock Bags and Duct Tape 30 minutes minutes before the shoot. :) We donned our newly fabricated rain gear and were prepared to make a splash of a photoshoot (haha…hmm too much?) when the rain literally cleared about 5 minutes before we started shooting. As it turned out, we had gorgeous clouds and a perfect blue sky that made an amazing backdrop for our beachy photos of the golden gate bridge at the end of our session.

Tracy and Marc are so cool. I mean, check out their LA engagement session featuring the one and only snailee-o. They are quirky, fun, and so sweet. The same goes for their gorgeous Calamigos Equestrian Center wedding. From the oh-so-pretty florals by Primary Petals, the mix-matched bridesmaids dresses, custom peanut butter cup favors, and live band this wedding had lots of personality. Marc may have had a horse try to eat his suit as well.. It was such a blast to shoot with these two and their wonderful friends/family.

We don’t always blog when we get a wedding published but this week was super great for Marianne Wilson Photography. Two of our weddings were published two days in a row! Henry + Julie and their gorgeous Greystone Mansion wedding was featured on JunebugWeddings.com and Jessica and Mike’s fun music themed wedding at the Adamson house was featured on StyleUnveiled! Big thanks to our couples for having such amazing and beautiful weddings and personalities!
