Orcutt Ranch is such a beautiful venue and Nathalie + Adam did such a great job of making it their own! The bright pops of purple and pink flowers were so perfect against the greenery of Orcutt’s orchards. Plus, it certainly doesn’t hurt that Nathalie and Adam look like they jumped straight off the cover of a fashion magazine! It was such a beautiful day filled with lots of laughter and fun all leading an epic rendition of “Baby Got Back” by a quirky friend to finish off the night! :) Orcutt Ranch Wedding Photography Wedding pictures before ceremony Nathalie Makeup Orcutt Ranch Weddings Wedding pictures before ceremony Orcutt Ranch Wedding pictures before ceremony Bride details Nathalie Getting Ready Orcut ranch wedding orcut ranch weddings Nathalie putting on garter bride getting ready photo Orcutt Ranch Wedding Photography Los angeles ranch wedding Orcutt Ranch

A couple of weeks ago we had the honor of shooting Joe’s cousin’s South Coast Winery wedding in Temecula, so this post will probably make a lot more sense if you know that Joe is writing it. :)

It was so surreal shooting Jeralyn’s wedding. So many times during the day I found myself thinking back to some amazing memories, like rolling down the grass hills behind my grandpa’s house with her and her older sister, Janelle (who was one of Jeralyn’s bridesmaids), when we were young/small enough to squeeze through the posts in Grandpa’s fence to escape from the backyard. Those memories rank pretty high among the best in my life.

Since we shot Jeralyn’s wedding, I have taken a lot of time to reflect on what a blessing it is that Marianne and I get to do what we do. Looking back, a photo of me and my cousins rolling down that grass hill would be invaluable to me. It would be amazing to see our smiles and the stains on our clothes that we knew that we were going to get in so much trouble for. To remember that even then we knew that the trouble was worth it to smell the grass, feel the thrill and live to tell the dizzying tale of the hill we conquered. How awesome would it be to have a window back to that moment and to be able to relive such a great and fleeting memory?

In short, shooting Jeralyn’s wedding was such a refreshing reminder that Marianne and I are so blessed to get to capture people’s memories on a day that is so very much more important than rolling down some grass hill! Jeralyn, congratulations and thank you so much for including us in your big day!
