I am so excited and overwhelmed by the extremely positive response to the new blog. Thank you all so much for your kind comments and e-mails!

As promised here are (more than) a few of my favorites from Nalani and Bryan’s Rock the Dress session (also known as a Day after session or Trash the Dress). I cannot say enough how much fun these shoots are. They are great whether you just don’t have much time on the wedding day for portraits alone (I like to get at least 30 min alone with my brides and grooms on the wedding day if possible) , if you just want to go another location and spend some time shooting, or if you really wanna get down and dirty and get the most out of your dress these sessions are for you!

Nalani and Bryan decided to go back to where we did their engagement session to come full circle with their wedding photo experience. We visited some of the same spots along with some new locations we discovered. I was so happy we were able to fit this session in before they went back home to Washington to live happily ever after. I suspect this won’t be the last you’ll see of them on this blog though. Nalani’s boudoir session will be coming soon and I am sure in the next few years we’ll have some gorgeous maternity and family sessions to come. Verified by the e-mail I got from Nalani when I sent her the link to see her Rock the Dress proofs.

“Aww, that makes me sad to say it’s over :( But it’s not really- that is if you would be so kind to be our family photographer forever! This way when we decide to expand and make a family you would be the only choice we would have to take our prego pics and baby/family pics!!!! We would love that- so don’t say it’s over!!!!!” – Nalani

So please enjoy a few faves from their Dayafter Session:

First of all I would like to thank the wonderful Matt at H2 Blog Design for putting together this stellar blog for me in no time at all. He did such a great job listening to what I wanted and looking at my work to come up with the perfect messy chic look. Thanks so much Matt.

All the old blog posts have been moved as well so make sure to update your RSS feeds and blog readers with the new address: Http://www.MarianneWilsonBlog.com. I will keep the old site up for the time being to keep directing everyone this way in case you forget :) Please feel free to leave some love on the new site and let me know what you all think.

On to the first wedding post of the new Marianne Wilson Photography Blog!

You might remember Nalani and Bryan from their killer engagement session. You definitely will remember them once you see Nalani’s gorgeous beach boudoir shoot.

Nalani and Bryan had a fantastic intimate ceremony right out front of the Mandalay Bay Embassy Suites in Oxnard, CA. They finished it off with a bangin reception at Nalani’s moms house. Can anyone say “Eye of the Tiger?” I know Nalani’s little brother mackey can….;) (BTW he may or may not have screamed “I LOVE THE CAMERA GIRL!!!” during speaches at the wedding. What can I say? I have that effect on guys.

Props to everyone who put this lovely wedding together! The gorgeous Tiffany blue and beige colors were to die for on this perfect Southern California day. Here is their 9-9-09 wedding!

It’s about that time again, time to hit the road and meet with my spectacular Arizona Brides. I was just packing up my car and thought I would pop in on the ol’ blog here and let you all know what’s going on with Marianne Wilson Photography.

I am so excited to say that my new blog is in the works and is going to be spectacular. I have the awesome designers of H2 blog design working on it now and it should really capture what Marianne Wilson Photography is about. So keep and look out for the launch of that in the next few weeks (at a brand new URL too!) along with a gorgeous boudoir and wedding post to kick it off! Also you may have noticed my portfolio site (Http://www.MarianneWilsonPhotography.com) going through some changes as well. I am sprucing it up a bit and adding some new features and design. I am also working on a new price list design and information booklet for new Marianne Wilson Photography brides. Because who doesn’t love some great information in a chic booklet?

In more personal news Joe and I recently got a puppy and her name is Penny. We think she is about 4 months old and rescued her from a shelter 2 weeks ago. We just love her to bits! She is adorable and as sweet as can be. We think she might be a Jindo but since she is a rescue we don’t quite know. All we know is that she is awesome and I love having her sweet little self around while I edit and write e-mails. Here are some photos I snapped of her right after we brought her home (don’t mind her sad face, she had a respiratory infection and giardia that is all cleared up now!).

Meet Penny:

I am sure you will see lots of her as she grows up!

And since we all love a good wedding teaser here is a photo from Christy and Saul’s wedding.
